Physics to the Rescue
"Physics to the Rescue" is a set of games designed to guide students into thinking like a scientist. Each game requires the player to help Tommy, the lead character, face a challenge such as cross a river or escape a dungeon. Successfully overcoming the Challenge always requires investigating a particular physics problem.
"Physics to the Rescue" is meant to supplement other learning activities such as lectures, textbooks, etc., rather than substitute for them. Teachers assign the games as homework prior the lecture on the specific concept.Gameplay prepares students to better absorb the lectures, which include a brief discussion on the game.
