Welcoming SCCCA to the HyperSkill Platform: Building Digital Twins of the Asian American Museum at Irvine’s Great Park

SimInsights is excited to welcome the South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) as a new customer and announce our collaboration to develop a stunning digital twin of their forthcoming museum space at the Great Park in Irvine, CA.

A Vision for Cultural Preservation and Innovation

SCCCA is launching a new museum dedicated to showcasing Chinese American heritage and community contributions. Although the physical space is still under development, the vision is clear and inspiring. The digital twin will allow visitors to experience the museum virtually—offering early access to exhibitions and helping to engage a broader audience.

To bring this vision to life, our team is crafting immersive 3D environments that include:

  • a detailed exterior space, grounded in reality with iconic visual anchors such as the Great Park’s Orange Balloon
  • a welcoming lobby, featuring a curated boat exhibit and image-based storytelling
  • a purpose-built theatre for cultural and educational programming, scaled for accessibility and realism

Collaborating Toward Launch

We’re grateful for the creative direction provided by Jack Toan, Yulan Chung, and Tony Hwang, as well as the artistic vision and execution led by Neil Waters. Our current milestones include finalizing exhibition banners, signs, and image placards – ensuring that the virtual experience reflects the spirit of the community and the aspirations of the SCCCA leadership.

Looking Ahead

We believe this partnership showcases the power of digital twins to shape cultural engagement and storytelling. For the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, we plan to debut the digital twin as a mixed reality experience—placing the museum virtually on its future site at the Great Park. This will allow visitors to explore the space using mobile devices or headsets, bringing tomorrow’s vision to life today.

Welcome, SCCCA! We’re proud to help bring your vision to life through immersive technology.
