This month, the Hyperskill and Skillful platforms received a strong round of updates focused on expanding device accessibility, improving platform stability, and giving authors greater control over customization. Here’s what’s new:
Web Native Enhancements
We’ve continued investing in the Web Native experience to make Hyperskill more capable directly in the browser, without requiring downloads. Native web simulations are now more reliable and performant across supported browsers, with improved load behavior and smoother interactions. These enhancements make browser-based simulation experiences more flexible and accessible across platforms.
Android, iOS, and Native App Support
Our Android WebGL build has officially entered beta and now supports Android 14 and newer devices. While performance is solid on modern hardware, lower-end devices may experience reduced frame rates as optimization work continues.
Development continues on expanding platform coverage to iOS and Safari. Our team is actively iterating toward a stable release targeted for early 2026.
At the same time, we’re progressing toward native App Store releases for both Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. These native applications will unlock higher-performance graphics, tighter hardware integration, and offline capabilities that aren’t possible in browser-based builds.
New Highlight Options for Authors

Authors now have greater expressive control over simulation visuals. We’ve added a suite of new highlight styles to the simulation editor including: Stripe, Lines, Dots, Blue, Green, Yellow, Dashed Yellow, and Outline Yellow. View our demo here.
These options help draw attention to key elements, guide learners through workflows, and improve clarity within training experiences.
1000+ Skillful Simulations
Skillful continues to grow rapidly, with its catalog expanding to over one thousand simulations. This milestone significantly increases the breadth of content available to learners while giving organizations more options to support diverse training needs. SimGenie Improvements
Several usability enhancements have been introduced to SimGenie and the dashboard experience. Prompts can now be cancelled mid-execution, improving responsiveness when changes are needed.

We’ve also introduced a Light Mode option across SimGenie and dashboards, making the interface more comfortable to use in bright environments.

Looking Ahead
We’re heading into 2026 with strong momentum, including broader mobile support, expanded UI customization, and more powerful creation tools across Hyperskill and Skillful. Stay tuned for early iOS WebGL previews and the first native AR app release in the coming months.
As always, thank you for your continued feedback, testing, and support, you help make these platforms better every day!
About HyperSkill
HyperSkill is a no-code 3D simulation platform for both Virtual and Augmented Reality. HyperSkill was created to enable instructional designers to create immersive training content without having to learn programming. HyperSkill includes thousands of 3D assets and simulations that are accessible for free to users. HyperSkill enables non-programmers to author VR/AR content, publish it to various devices and audiences and collect and visualize experience data. HyperSkill has been developed with R&D funding from the National Science Foundation. To learn more, please visit https://siminsights.com/hyperskill/
About SimInsights
SimInsights mission is to democratize the creation of 3D, interactive, immersive and intelligent (I^3) simulations. We believe that simulations are the most impactful way to learn, yet few people can actually leverage them as a creative medium. SimInsights offers HyperSkill, a no-code tool to enable everyone to capture their knowledge in the form of 3D immersive, AI-powered simulations and share it with others. SimInsights team used HyperSkill to create Skillful, a growing collection of simulations to help anyone master any skill.
