Building on our momentum from February, the HyperSkill team has focused this month on refining the user experience across all platforms. From a major desktop authoring revamp to the addition of more global languages, March is all about making professional-grade simulation authoring more intuitive and accessible.

Refined Desktop and Mobile UI

We’ve overhauled several key interface components to streamline your workflow:

Desktop Author UI Revamp: Integration of a newly designed interface for desktop authors, providing a more modern and efficient workspace.
iOS Experience Enhancements: Continued UI improvements for iPhone and iPad users to ensure a consistent, premium experience on the go.
Web-Native Chatbox: The web-native chatbox now features an improved UI and a new Dark/Light Mode toggle to match your preferred viewing environment.

Advanced Authoring Capabilities

HyperSkill and SimGenie continue to grow as powerhouses for both 3D and 2D content creation:

2D Activity & Quest Persistence: Enhanced persistence for 2D activities and Quests, allowing for more complex, multi-session learning journeys.
Expanding Global Reach: We’ve added German and Portuguese to our automated translation engine, moving closer to our goal of universal access.
Advanced Authoring Controls: We have added a new setting to disable chat within specific simulations and improved the “Rotate” state actions for snapped objects. Agents can now set user attributes directly, and there is flexible “Display Message” positioning, including a new bottom-of-screen option.

Skillful: Organized Learning for Everyone

Our Skillful platform received significant updates to help educators and learners find the right content faster:

Educational Standards: You can now sort simulations by Learning Standard and Grade Level.
Contextual Learning: Learning Objectives and Related Activities are now explicitly linked within simulation modules.
Visual Refresh: An updated UI across the Skillful marketplace for a cleaner browsing experience.

Extended Hardware Support

HoloLens 2: Following last month’s video support, we have further refined PlayVideo Support for enterprise Mixed Reality workflows, ensuring seamless playback within spatial environments.

Internal Platform Improvements

Behind the scenes, we’ve empowered our internal teams to serve you better:

Skillful Publisher: Internal users can now update thumbnails for both assets and simulations in real-time.
AI-Driven Data: Integration with Looker Studio now provides daily AI-generated insights and email reports on yesterday’s platform performance.
Ontology Management: Internal tools now allow for direct deployment and updates of HyperSkill ontologies within SimGenie.

Looking Ahead

Our commitment to democratizing 3D, AI-powered simulations continues. Next month, we will focus on deepening our multimedia capabilities with 360 video support and Chatbox Authoring to further simplify how you create interactive content.
