SimInsights to Present at 2024 NSF ATE Conference in Washington DC on Oct 24, 2024

Irvine, California, September 3 2024: National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Principal Investigators Conference has accepted a paper presentation by SimInsights representative Raj Jha and Professor Eric Wooldrige from Somerset Community College in Kentucky. The paper is titled “HyperSkill: A Low-Cost, No-Code, AI-Powered Platform for Community Colleges”. will showcase an innovative strategy for strengthening STEM technician education. The conference will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.

The ATE Conference, hosted by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), focuses on advancing technician education. SimInsights is proud to be contributing to this important mission.

Paper details

Title: “HyperSkill: A Low-Cost, No-Code, AI-Powered Platform for Community Colleges”. 

Abstract: XR & Gen-AI tech are advancing rapidly. However, creating immersive content is costly, hindering adoption. This presentation focuses on HyperSkill, an NSF-funded, low-cost platform for developing XR modules that can be easily adopted and customized by faculty. We tested its effectiveness by creating several VR modules. Beyond authoring & delivery, the platform offers collaboration, analytics, gen-AI integration and cloud-based resource repository. We aim to leverage the platform to build a community of faculty and students creating & sharing content, training students and running studies.
