SimInsights Partners with ASME E-Fests to Power Extended Reality Challenges with HyperSkill

SimInsights is excited to announce our continued partnership with the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) E-Fests, where students and engineers alike will compete to design cutting-edge extended reality (XR) solutions. The E-Fests competition brings together the brightest minds in engineering to tackle real-world challenges through immersive technologies, fostering innovation and creativity in the next generation of engineers.

What is ASME E-Fests?

The ASME E-Fests are an annual series of events that bring together college students and young professionals from around the world to engage in engineering competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities. These events are designed to challenge participants to think outside the box, solve complex engineering problems, and collaborate on breakthrough ideas. This year, two exciting challenges will feature the use of HyperSkill’s immersive VR training simulations, helping participants create and refine solutions in virtual environments.

The Two Challenges Featuring HyperSkill

  1. Autonomous Vehicles Challenge
In this challenge, participants will focus on designing XR solutions for autonomous vehicle technologies. Using HyperSkill, competitors will have access to immersive simulations to better understand the engineering challenges of autonomous systems, including sensor integration, vehicle control, and safety protocols. This challenge offers a unique opportunity to explore how XR can aid in developing and testing autonomous vehicle technologies, allowing participants to innovate in a virtual environment that mimics real-world complexities.
  2. Lunar Landar Challenge
The Lunar Landar Challenge invites participants to design XR-based solutions for landing spacecraft on the Moon. Competitors will work within a virtual lunar environment to solve critical engineering problems such as precision landing, navigation, and resource management. This challenge allows students to test their engineering solutions in an immersive space simulation, providing valuable experience for future aerospace and exploration technologies.

Why HyperSkill?

HyperSkill is a powerful, AI-driven platform designed to immerse users in real-world scenarios through VR. Its flexible simulation tools allow students and professionals to engage in interactive learning, offering a risk-free environment to practice and refine their skills. Whether it’s autonomous vehicles, aerospace engineering, or other complex challenges, HyperSkill brings cutting-edge solutions to life in ways that traditional methods cannot.

We are proud to support the ASME E-Fests and the incredible talent of all the participants. The combination of XR technology and HyperSkill will help drive forward-thinking solutions and inspire the next wave of engineering leaders.

Good luck to all the participants—let’s see how you shape the future of engineering with XR!

About SimInsights

SimInsights mission is to democratize the creation of 3D, interactive, immersive and intelligent (I^3) simulations. We believe that simulations are the most impactful way to learn, yet few people can actually leverage them as a creative medium. SimInsights offers HyperSkill, a no-code tool to enable everyone to capture their knowledge in the form of 3D immersive, AI-powered simulations and share it with others. SimInsights team used HyperSkill to create Skillful, a growing collection of simulations to help anyone master any skill.

About ASME

ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges. Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world. In 2020, ASME formed the International Society of Interdisciplinary Engineers (ISIE) II & III LLC, a new for-profit subsidiary to house business ventures that will bring new and innovative products, services, and technologies to the engineering community.
