We’ve rolled out a fresh update packed with improvements, new features, and bug fixes to make your simulation experience smoother than ever. Here’s what’s new in v1.49.2:
Redesigned Home Screen
The home screen has been redesigned for a cleaner, more intuitive start.
Unified Sharing Menu
We’ve introduced a unified sharing menu from the simulation selection screen, giving you one place to share directly with users, make a simulation public, access a public link, or export to SCORM. This menu is also available in Edit Mode, making it easier to manage your simulations wherever you’re working.
HyperSkill Analytics Dashboard
The Hyperskill Analytics Dashboard now features a refreshed dark mode user interface, along with new views for both users and organizations.
Updated Auth0 Login Flow
Logging in has become smoother with the updated Auth0 login flow, so you no longer need to type in a username and password using your controller. If you prefer, you can still click “Login in VR” to use the old method.
Special VO Editing Enhancements
For special VO editing, we’ve added rotation options, on-screen drag positioning, and different snapped shape previews for hitzones.
Text Display VO
You can now add a Text Display special VO by searching for “TextDisplay” in the virtual object search panel and customizing attributes such as text, text color, and background color.
Add the following custom attributes:
Text(String): value of the display textTextColor(Integer): 1 = black, 2 = red, 3 = green, 4 = blue, 5 = yellow, 6 = cyan, 7 = magentaBackgroundColor(Integer): 1 = black, 2 = red, 3 = green, 4 = blue, 5 = yellow, 6 = cyan, 7 = magenta
Data Logging Controls
In VR settings, you now have the ability to enable or disable data logging per simulation, including headset and controller sensor data, focused objects, and transcripts.
GPT-5 AI Agent
We’ve added GPT-5 as an option for AI agents, and beta versions of Skillful simulations are now available.
Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements
This release includes a wide range of bug fixes, addressing issues such as a canvas blocking UI input in the selection screen, Auth0 id_token login errors, the Skillful page being empty in VR, random blank screens at simulation start, unexpected VR pop-ups, speech bubbles blocking UI input, and downloaded simulations not appearing. We’ve also made other general stability improvements to ensure a smoother overall experience.
Update now to take advantage of the latest features and enhancements in version 1.49.2.
